About the Concert
Unfinished? Yes, Anton Bruckner was unable to complete the finale of his ninth and last symphony. And this despite the fact that he worked on this work for ten years and dedicated it "to the dear God". But even if he did not write the finale himself (all the more attempts were made to complete it after his death!), it is, for example, with its bold expansion of harmony, a step into the musical future that makes one completely forget the unfinished. Alban Berg's Chamber Concerto is not at all unfinished. On the contrary, Berg was obsessed with numbers and virtually set a monument to the number three in this work. Arabella Steinbacher will demonstrate with her violin how a number can become music.
