About the Concert

He played at one of the most spectacular weddings of recent years: for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The bride herself had called the then 19-year-old cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason and asked him to play during the church service at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle - and half the world watched him. Now he is our guest and fits perfectly into our unconventional concert with his artistic excellence. On the program is nothing less than a premiere! The cello concerto by Edmund Finnis will be heard for the first time in Europe on this evening - and you can be there. At our abgeFRACKt concerts, some things are different: the orchestra does not wear tailcoats on stage. Also, no one has to worry about clapping at the wrong time. If you want to learn more about the music, download the free Wolfgang app to your smartphone and get explanations about the work live during the concert. Afterwards, we invite you to stay and enjoy the abgeFRACKt cocktail (also non-alcoholic), a glass of wine or beer at the "Tutti" café, relax, chat, or look out at the city from the balcony.
