About the Concert

The successful cooperation between the Youth Symphony Orchestra at the Heinrich Schütz Conservatory Dresden and the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra has existed for many years. In this sponsorship concert, children and young people make music together with members of the Dresden Philharmonic. This time we meet many different horns - the French horn, corno da caccia, an alphorn, a hunting horn and a natural horn. In addition, the well-known poem "Das musikalische Nashorn" by Peter Hacks tells a truly "horned" story. All this leads us to expect a particularly unforgettable concert experience for young and old alike.

Grades 1-5

Program

Trygve Madsen
Sinfonia Concertante for 4 horns F and orchestra plus "The Musical Rhinoceros", a poem by Peter Hacks - also with music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Kanefzky and others.
