About the Concert

Tickets for this event will be available from 12.06.2024 from 10 am.

George Frideric Handel was perhaps the first pop star in history. In any case, he was so famous in England that people flocked to the dress rehearsals of his works. This also applied to his "Fireworks Music", which was actually to be accompanied by fireworks. There were so many carriages that there was the first traffic jam in history on London's streets. And then the audience had to seek shelter from the fireworks that were raining down on them! On the contrary, not only his music, which incidentally was played before the fireworks, but also his birthday ode to Queen Anne and the Utrecht Te Deum were and still are among the public's musical favorites.
