About the Concert

The new members of the KMA introduce themselves, so the programme is still being developed.

As a special guest we have Aurel Dawidiuk:

Aurel Dawidiuk, born 2000 in Hanover, is considered one of the outstanding and versatile musicians of his generation. He gives guest performances at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Pierre Boulez Saal Berlin, the Sendesaal Bremen, ... As a pianist, organist and harpsichordist he gives concerts with numerous orchestras ... Aurel Dawidiuk is 1st prize winner of numerous national and international competitions, e.g. 2016 at the "Schumann Competition" in Zwickau, 2018 at "The London Organ Competition" and 2019 at the "International Young Organist Competition Moscow". In the same year, he won the renowned TONALi19 Piano Competition in Hamburg and, in addition to the main prize, received the Audience Prize, the Christoph Eschenbach Prize and six other special prizes.

In August 2022 he won the "German Music Competition" in the organ category (not awarded since 2001), combined with the special prize of the Federal City of Bonn and his own CD production on the GENUIN label in co-production with Deutschlandfunk Kultur and the German Music Competition.

In 2021 Aurel Dawidiuk was accepted into the "Forum Dirigieren" of the German Music Council for top young conductors. He attended master classes with Paavo Järvi, Joana Mallwitz ...

Biographies

Aurel Dawidiuk

Aurel Dawidiuk is the first prize winner of the International Hans von Bülow Competition in the category Conducting from the Piano, which he won in May 2023 in Meiningen as well as being awarded the Audience Choice Award and two other special prizes.

Philipp Hennigs

Philipp Hennigs, born and raised in Bremen, had his first musical contact in the Bremen Trombone Society. Much work in North German youth orchestras was to follow until Philipp Hennigs began his artistic trumpet studies in Rostock in the class of Rainer Auerbach and Julie Bonde in 2015.

Johanna Dabels

Johanna Dabels was born in Ribnitz-Damgarten. From 2002 to 2013 she sang in the children's choir of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin, where she discovered her passion for music.

She took master classes with Phillippe Grafin, Stefan Picard, Cuarteto Casals, Armida Quartet.
She was a scholarship recipient of the Pfahlberg Foundation and the E.T.A Hoffman Foundation.

Soobin An was born in Busan, South Korea, where she began her musical education, winning national competitions at a young age and performing as a soloist with the United Korean Orchestra and the Busan Sinfonietta.

Soyoung Park studied at the Cologne University of Music with Prof. Susanna Yoko Henkel and Prof. Torsten Janicke. She is currently studying at the Dresden Carl Maria von Weber University of Music with Wolfgang Hentrich.

Seohyun Park studied at the University of Arts in Seoul, Korea. He played chamber music projects in cooperation with the Colburn School in Korea and in various chamber music festivals in Korea.
