About the Concert
As cathedral organist in Freiberg and former Crucian, Albrecht Koch is very familiar with church music. And as president of the Silbermann Society, he naturally has a particular soft spot for the sound of these master organs. On his excursion to our Eule organ in the concert hall, he brings this experience with him and shows that music conceived for the church space can also unfold optimally in this space. With works by Bach and Messiaen, he presents "classics" of organ literature, but Sigfrid Karg-Elert is also one of the composers with whom one primarily associates organ works.
