Daniil Trifonov

When Daniil Trifonov plays the piano, he seems to merge with the instrument - with somnambulistic certainty, he unfolds an enormous range of sounds from the finest pianissimo to the powerful fortissimo. His program covers a wide range: from Handel's Suite in E major, Stravinsky's Piano Sonata, and Schubert's “Wanderer Fantasy” to the rousing Latin American soundscapes of García, Villa-Lobos, Bullumba Landestoy, Ginastera, and Guarnieri to his own tango - an evening full of contrasts, virtuosity, and rhythmic energy.

Hayato Sumino c Dario Acosta

Hayato Sumino "Cateen"

Hayato Sumino, known as “Cateen,” is not only a social media star, but also a pianist with a great love of experimentation and his own musical signature. In Dresden, he will present the world premiere of a new work and bring American musical magic to the stage with Gershwin's legendary Rhapsody in Blue. The program is complemented by Richard Strauss' mischievous Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks and Bernstein's rousing Symphonic Dances from West Side Story – an evening full of energy and color.

Rudolf Buchbinder c Marco Borggreve

Rudolf Buchbinder

Rudolf Buchbinder takes the stage with intense concentration - entirely devoted to the music. In the series “Stars at the Piano,” one of the great Beethoven interpreters of our time dedicates himself to works by the composer, which he has been playing and exploring for over 60 years; exactly which pieces will be heard remains a special suspense of this solo evening, which brings Beethoven's world of sound to life in all its facets.

Fazil Say c Fethi Karaduman

Fazil Say und Patricia Kopatchinskaja

When Patricia Kopatchinskaja and Fazıl Say come together, chamber music becomes an event - passionate, experimental, and full of intensity. The piano takes center stage: Fazıl Say shapes the evening with his immediately moving, powerful signature style - both as a performer and as a composer.
Together, they devote themselves to Szymanowski's richly tonal Myths, present their own works - Kopatchinskaja's “UniSolo” and Say's “Lost Screams Sonata” - and crown the program with Beethoven's monumental “Kreutzer Sonata,” whose pianistic brilliance and dramatic force challenge the piano as much as they make it shine.
