Cornelius Pollmer

Presenter/Journalist

Cornelius Pollmer was born in Dresden in 1984. He studied economics and worked for the youth magazine Spiesser and the Sächsische Zeitung. After training at the German School of Journalism, he went to the Süddeutsche Zeitung, for which he now writes mainly in the feature section. In 2018, Thelem published the volume "Randland" with many texts from the new federal states. This was followed in 2019 by the book "Heut ist irgendwie ein komischer Tag," a reportage about a summer in Brandenburg. Cornelius Pollmer regularly moderates stage discussions, predominantly in the thematic broad areas of politics, science, economics and culture. In his texts, he repeatedly wrestles with his home state of Saxony and the city of Dresden in particular.
