Drummado Wijnhamer

Drummado Wijnhamer (born 1999) is a Dutch conductor and is currently doing his master's degree in orchestral conducting at the Franz Liszt School of Music in Weimar with Prof. Ekhart Wycik and Prof. Gregor Bühl.

He obtained his Bachelor's degree at the Amsterdam Conservatory, where he studied with Ed Spanjaard, Antony Hermus, Bas Wiegers and Karel Deseure.

He gained experience as assistant conductor with the Rotterdams Philharmonisch Orkest, the Radio Filharmonisch Orkest (NL) and the Belgian National Orchestra, where he worked with Lahav Shani, Vladimir Jurowski, Karina Canellakis and Antony Hermus, among others.

Wijnhamer has worked with the Dutch National Opera Academy on several occasions and has conducted concert excerpts from Die Fledermaus, Hansel and Gretel and Carmen. He was also involved in a production of Suor Angelica in Saluzzo.

As part of his studies, he regularly works with the Staatskapelle Weimar, the Jena Philharmonic and the Hofer Symphoniker.

In January 2025, he won first prize in the conducting competition of the Central German music academies, conducting the MDR Symphony Orchestra Leipzig. He was again invited by the orchestra for the 2026 season.

Upcoming engagements include his debut with the Radio Filharmonisch Orkest in November 2025.

He has also conducted at festivals such as the Cello Biënnale Amsterdam and the Festival Dag in de Branding in The Hague.
