Gergely Madaras

Hungarian-born Gergely Madaras trained as a flutist, violinist, composer, and conductor, gaining a deep insight into the workings of an orchestra and its repertoire. From 2019 to 2025, he was Music Director of the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège. In the 2025/26 season, he will make his debuts with the Dresden Philharmonic, at the Palau de la Música Valencia, with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Welsh National Opera, among others. He was named "Conductor of the Year" at the 2025 Bartók Radio Awards.

Ulrich Noethen

Ulrich Noethen is one of the leading German character actors in film and television. After initially appearing on many German theater stages, he had his breakthrough in the film business in 1997 with the role of singer Harry Frommermann in “Comedian Harmonists”. Since then, he has appeared regularly in film and TV and has received numerous awards. He has also made a name for himself as a speaker and enjoys working in musical contexts – as he does in the melodrama “The Traveler”.

Birgit Minichmayr

Austrian actress Birgit Minichmayr was already hired during her studies at the famous Burgtheater in Vienna. Later, she was also part of the ensembles of the Berlin Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz and the Munich Residenztheater, but in 2019 she went back to Vienna. She is also highly successful in TV and film, having appeared in "Everyone Else", "The White Ribbon" and "Perfume – The Story of a Murderer", among others. No less brilliant are her performances as a singer and narrator.

Kangyoon Shine Lee

The lyric tenor Kangyoon Shine Lee comes from South Korea and has been a member of the Deutsche Oper Berlin ensemble since 2024/25, where he had previously fulfilled several guest contracts. There he can be heard in roles such as Tamino in "The Magic Flute" or Conte Almaviva in "Il barbiere di Siviglia". In 2024, the multiple competition winner completed his studies at the HfM Hanns Eisler in Berlin with the concert exam. In 2023, he performed with the Dresden Philharmonic for the first time, in Lera Auerbach's 6th symphony.

Michael Borth

Internationally sought-after baritone Michael Borth has a particularly broad repertoire ranging from Baroque works to contemporary compositions. Recent highlights include performances in Handel's “Silla", Wagner's “Das Rheingold", Stravinsky's "The Rake's Progress", Weill's "Dreigroschenoper", and Jake Heggie's "Dead Man Walking". In summer 2025, he made his debut as Kilian in the spectacular production of "Der Freischütz" directed by Philipp Stölzl at the Bregenz Festival.

Alexander Hauer

Actor, choreographer, and director Alexander Hauer was a member of the Theater Bremen ensemble from 2000 to 2004. Since 2004, he has been working as a freelancer, developing music, dance, and theater projects that uniquely combine movement, sound, and community. In 2011, he founded the non-profit cultural institution OpusEinhundert, where he has been Artistic Director ever since, staging inclusive productions with up to 150 performers of different ages.

Philharmonischer Chor Dresden

The Dresden Philharmonic Choir has been active for over 55 years, since it was founded in 1967 on the initiative of Kurt Masur. The approximately 70 singers perform the demanding choral work in their free time. They give concerts with the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of the respective chief and guest conductors, collaborate with other choirs and orchestras and perform a cappella programs in and outside of Dresden. Iris Geißler has led the ensemble since October 2022.

kammerchor cantamus

The kammerchor cantamus dresden was founded in 1995. Its singers have a solid musical education, with many of the male choristers drawing on their many years of experience as members of the Dresden Kreuzchor. The choir's warm, clear sound and its stylistically confident variety of programs make it an ensemble that is enthusiastically received everywhere it goes. It gives many concerts in Dresden and the surrounding area but also travels regularly to countries near and far.
