About the Concert

What would a painting sound like if it were music? The Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky tried it out and the result was his famous "Pictures at an Exhibition". There are bickering saleswomen at a turbulent market, a limping gnome creeps past, chirping chicks hatch from their eggshells and dance a ballet. Together with the orchestra and Malte Arkona, we also encounter the wicked witch Baba Jaga, meet playing children in the park, visit an old castle and walk through the great gate of Kiev. Can't you imagine? Then come with your class to the Kulturpalast for the school concert!
