About the Concert
The music world was lucky: if Claude Debussy's great musical talent had not been recognized in time, he would have become a sailor and not one of the most important French composers. Nevertheless, he always returned to the sea - his love for the sea can be heard most impressively in "La Mer". Scriabin was a synesthete, that is, he saw colors when he heard sounds. In his piano concerto "Prometheus" he even wanted colors to be projected onto a screen during the concert. Ravel is also considered a master of colors, and of timbres at that. His suite "Daphnis and Chloé" brings a glow to the eyes of woodwind players in particular, as they can shine here with the entire sound palette of their instruments.
