About the Concert

After Martin Grubinger literally swept his audience off their feet in the last festival year, the internationally acclaimed multi-percussionist returns to the Kulturpalast for his farewell tour in 2023 as well. This time he will be joined by the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and the sensationally acclaimed twenty-one-year-old conductor Tarmo Peltokoski, whom the orchestra has appointed as its permanent guest conductor. Exciting impulses can be expected in the interplay when the musicians explore the whole range of percussion sound with works from Tan Dun to Steve Reich. And Grubinger can once again show that his art has revolutionised the percussion world in a lasting way.
