About the Concert

In their third year at Hogwarts, Harry, Ron and Hermione meet the escaped prisoner Sirius Black and train themselves to deal with the wondrous Hippogriff, a cross between a horse and an eagle, face shape-shifting boggarts and learn new school subjects including the art of clairvoyance. Harry must resist soul-destroying Dementors, outwit a dangerous werewolf and learn to come to terms with the truth about Sirius and his relationship with Harry and his parents.

The mesmerising and powerful score by John Williams, which was nominated for an Oscar, has now established itself as an acclaimed masterpiece of enchanting beauty. It follows the adventures of Harry Potter and his friends with soaring motifs on their magical journey.

The Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra plays the music live, Benjamin Pope conducts.
