This time it is "animalistic" at the Kulturpalast – almost like in a zoo. First, Darius Milhaud presents a lively Brazilian rhythm with an ox on the roof ("Le bœuf sur le toit"). Then we move on to the lions and chickens, the donkey and the tortoises, continuing to the swan and finally to the fossils and the aquarium. With his "Carnival of the Animals," the French composer Camille Saint-Saëns has created a colourful play for the whole family, which combines amusing and reflective melodies. But there is also a lot of musical irony, as Malte will demonstrate. Laughter is definitely encouraged. Absolutely!

Classes 1–5Darius Milhaud
