Michael Kube is a passionate music educator. Since the 2015/16 season, he has been organizing school concerts and family concerts in the Dresden Philharmonic's "phil zu entdecken" series. Michael Kube is a member of the editorial board of the New Schubert Edition, editor of numerous Urtext editions (for Henle, Breitkopf, Bärenreiter, among others) and advises the Berlin streaming service Idagio, which specializes in classical music. He is a juror for the German Record Critics' Award and teaches music history at the Stuttgart University of Music as well as musicology and music education at the University of Würzburg.
