About the Concert

It's amazing how the question "Who's in a bad mood here?" always puts you in a good mood, regardless of your individual state of mind.

This is also the effect of the new tour "Wer hat hier schlechte Laune" by Max Raabe & Palast Orchester. No matter what the mood is before the concert, afterwards the audience leaves the hall with a smile.

The title "Wer hat hier schlechte Laune" comes from the latest album of the singer and inventor of "Raabe-Pop". Together with his proven co-writers of recent years, Annette Humpe, Achim Hagemann, Peter Plate and Ulf Leo Somme, Max Raabe presents songs on it that deal with the tender blossoming and fading of love, with emotional confusion but also with the joy of driving with electricity as well as with the desire to stroke bumblebees and to stalk through the woods with deer. These colorful aspects of life will spice up the "Wer hat hier schlechte Laune" tour starting in January 2023.

That the mixing of Max Raabe's own compositions with original arrangements of the 20s / 30s results in an entertaining concert evening, Max Raabe & Palast Orchester have long proven with their last shows. In "Wer hat hier schlechte Laune" Max Raabe & Palast Orchester now pull out all the stops of their decades-long matured skills. Beside titles of the current CD also the new classics are brought such as ?good day, dear luck? to hearing. The main focus of the evening, however, remains of course the music of the 20s/30s: original arrangements read by hand are brought to life with nuances as only Max Raabe & Palast Orchester can: "Unter den Pinien von Argentinien", "Mein Gorilla hat ne Villa im Zoo", "Ich will von der Lilli nichts wissen".
With Annette Humpe, Max Raabe wrote "Ein Tag wie Gold", the title track of the current "Babylon Berlin" season. Here, the Palast Orchester once again really comes out of its shell and shows what sound colors it is capable of. In general, the violinist, who impresses with virtuoso elegance, and her freshly ironed colleagues and multi-instrumentalists present the newly conceived stage show with many surprises. Max Raabe is one who is able to draw from the most diverse epochs and styles and yet fuses everything into an unmistakable individual expression. In the pop music landscape of the present, he is a singular figure - inspired by the wit of times past; but also by the knowledge of the incessant change of the world.
