About the Concert
We all know that not all listening is the same. How quickly our thoughts are elsewhere, although we actually wanted to follow the music in a concentrated way. And even when we do concentrate, it means something different for everyone, depending on where one's attention is particularly focused: the musical theme, timbres, individual instruments, and so on. Michael von Brück is a theologian, but as a Zen teacher he also has a lot of experience with Far Eastern religions. And as a former Crucian and music connoisseur, he combines both in a congenial way: listening to music with the movement of the spirit. In this event, he invites us to approach Bach's "Musical Offering" through meditation, repeated listening and reflection, and opens up new ways of perceiving music.
