Iris Geißler

Choir Director / piano

Choir Director Philharmonic Choir / Assistant to the Choir Director / Stage Manager Children's Choir 

Iris Geißler studied correpetition and piano at the Hochschule für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber" in Dresden. At the same time, she began working as a correpetitor with the Philharmonic Choir. After graduating, she held a teaching position for several years in correpetition at the Hochschule für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber".

Founded in 1967 on the initiative of the then Philharmonic Chief Conductor Kurt Masur, the Philharmonic Choir can look back on more than 50 successful years, marked by numerous concerts and national and international concert tours.
