About the Concert

Tickets for this event will be available from 12.06.2024 from 10 am.

Richard Wagner stands for overwhelming operas. And Marek Janowski stands for the fine art of making these works not only sound, but also speak. After the great success of the "Ring of the Nibelung", he returns with "Tristan and Isolde". Through the power of a love potion, Tristan and Isolde have fatefully fallen for each other, but the princess Isolde is promised to Marke, the king and Tristan's feudal lord. The lovers live their union in secret, but this must inevitably be discovered and lead to catastrophe. Wagner has found a musical language for this that is hard to resist despite its excessive length.
