The big kick-off to the anniversary year
An unmistakable voice, over 55 million records sold worldwide, winner of the 72's Eurovision Song Contest and a career that has lasted 57 years: We are talking about Vicky Leandros. An artist who has long been an integral part of the national cultural heritage. On 23.08.2022, the life optimist celebrated her 70th birthday. In autumn 2023 Vicky will say goodbye to the big stage with her most personal programme "I love life". She will ring in her big anniversary and farewell year next spring, on 25.03.2023 (15:00 & 20:00), with two already sold-out concerts at Hamburg's Elbphilharmonie.
"We should love our lives and consciously 'experience' them in their entirety. In this beautiful concert hall, I would like to go on a personal and musical journey through time together with the audience and, of course, celebrate life with them," Vicky tells us. The programme will reflect the wide range of Leandros' musical potential. Vicky will be accompanied by her band and a string quartet.
Vicky Leandros has sung her way into millions of hearts with her unique voice, moving, accompanying and comforting people. She has given the world unforgettable songs - over 55 million records sold worldwide with an incredible 500 albums released - and has received countless awards. Among them are the "Order of St. Mark" (2003), the "Luxembourg Cross of Merit" (2011) and the "Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon" (2015). Between tradition and zeitgeist, she reinvented herself again and again, whether with unusual duet partners, producers and extraordinary performances or as a cookbook author.
The concert in Dresden on 23.10.2023 is already sold out. Due to the great demand, there will therefore be an additional show in Dresden on 11.03.2024! Tickets for the concerts are available online at www.eventim.de and at all known ticket agencies.
