Since the fall of 2022, Martin Lehmann has been the 29th Kreuzkantor, making him the incumbent of one of the most prestigious posts in Protestant church music. He was a member of the Crucians himself during his childhood and youth, and later studied choral and orchestral conducting in Dresden. He gained important experience during his studies as an assistant to Hans-Christoph Rademann at the Dresden Chamber Choir. After working in Leipzig and Wuppertal, he took over the Windsbacher Knabenchor for ten years in 2012.
Since graduating with honors in 2020, Leipzig-born, versatile mezzo-soprano Marie Henriette Reinhold has performed in numerous concert halls and main churches in Germany and other European countries. She has been performing at the Bayreuth Festival since 2019, where she once again takes on five of the smaller Wagner roles in the summer of 2025. However, she is also highly successful in the baroque repertoire, in contemporary music and in Lied interpretation.
The Swiss tenor and Bach Prize winner Raphael Höhn is a highly sought-after singer in the field of baroque music. He is praised by the international press for his beautiful timbre with great splendour, the purest intonation, exemplary diction and vocalisation (Scherzo/Spain for a St Matthew Passion in the Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, 2023), among other things.
The presenter, actor and voice actor Malte Arkona is known to many viewers from television, but is also one of the most sought-after music educators in the German-speaking world. He has been a regular stage partner of the Dresden Philharmonic in this capacity for many years and has been presenting its new "Best of Classics" series, which he co-designed, since the 2024/25 season. He also directs video clips for the orchestra, in which he can also be seen himself.
Michael Kube is a passionate music educator and has been conceiving the school and family concert series "phil zu entdecken" for the Dresden Philharmonic since the 2015/16 season. He also works as an editor and consultant, is a juror for the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik, and a university lecturer in music history, musicology and music education.
The Dresden Kreuzchor is one of the oldest and most famous boys' choirs in the world. Even after more than 800 years, one of its most important tasks is to sing in the liturgical services of the Kreuzkirche on Dresden's Altmarkt, where it performs in vespers and church services and regularly gives concerts with outstanding works of sacred music. In addition, the Kruzianer, who have been singing under the direction of Martin Lehmann since 2022, regularly go on tours at home and abroad as cultural ambassadors for Dresden.
That is the claim of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra. The orchestra stands for concerts at the highest artistic level, musical education for all ages and looking beyond the musical horizon. Guest performances on almost every continent and collaborations with guests from all over the world have established the reputation of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra in the international classical music world.
