About the Concert
Humans living in an industrialised world have always been fascinated by wild life. Voyages of discovery, hours of observing animals, exploring natural features of the earth. Wild nature! Just as painters, photographers and reporters record what happens in nature in their film documentaries, musicians have also occupied themselves with it and written it down. The summer programme of the Dresdner Bläserphilharmonie takes up such works and repeatedly presents a programme of music written exclusively for symphonic wind orchestra. Works by Suñer Oriola, Navarro and Cesarini will be heard. For the first time, a piece by Toshio Mashima is on the programme - "Birds". The soloist of the evening is Hans de Jong - an excellent saxophonist, professor and artist of Buffet Crampon. Look forward to an evening in which the large orchestra conducted by Andrea Barizza will bring nature into the concert hall.
