Busecan Coºkun

Busecan Coşkun was born in Turkey and only found her artistic calling in music as an adult. She began her musical training in 2018 with private singing lessons from Abbie Furmansky, where she continued to develop her voice and artistic expression over the following years. In January 2026, she successfully completed her Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance (mezzo-soprano) at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden. Since 2025, she has also been receiving vocal coaching and artistic guidance from Elisabeth Wilke.

She gained her first stage experience in 2019 as an alto with the Synagogal Ensemble Berlin. This was followed by a wide range of choral and solo projects, in which she further developed her musical expression. As a member of the choir at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden, she took part in performances of Leonard Bernstein’s Mass and Felix Mendelssohn’s Psalm 42, amongst others. She also appeared in the opera choir for the university’s production of Alcina.

In 2023, she performed as a soloist with a contemporary lieder repertoire at the music academies in Dresden and Leipzig, thereby deepening her artistic presence on stage. Since 2024, she has been working as a chorister in various opera and concert projects at the Landesbühnen Sachsen, where she gained further formative stage experience. She also sang with the Europa Chor Akademie Görlitz.

Today, Busecan Coşkun works as a freelance singer and is shaping her artistic career.
