Accessibility at the Kulturpalast in Dresden

The Kulturpalast Dresden is fully accessible. All floors can be reached by lift. There are up to 18 wheelchair spaces available in the concert hall. There are also accessible toilets, a guidance system for the visually impaired and induction loops in the hall.

Getting Here and Parking

The Kulturpalast is accessible via the underground car park beneath the Altmarkt.

The Altmarkt tram stop is accessible and has lowered kerbs.

A designated disabled parking space is available.

Access and Routes Inside the Building

The entrance and routes inside the building are step-free or accessible via ramps.

Door widths are at least 90 cm.

Lifts

All floors are accessible via lifts without steps. The lifts are located on both sides of the building. Access is via ramps or without steps.

Seats in the stalls, on the 1st tier in sections F to P, and on the 2nd tier:

Seat width: 50 cm, plus armrests

Seats in the 1st tier in sections E and Q, and in the choir gallery:

Seat width: 45 cm, without armrests

Wheelchair-accessible toilets

Wheelchair-accessible toilets are located in the following areas:

- Basement

- Ground floor

- Mezzanine

- First floor

- Second floor

The toilets in the basement, ground floor and mezzanine can be opened with a EURO key. A EURO key is available from the information desk.

The toilets on the first and second floors are open to the public.

Manoeuvring space in front of the toilet: more than 200 × 140 cm

Space next to the toilet: 95 cm on the left and 126 cm on the right

There is a separate cloakroom on the left-hand side of the foyer for wheelchair users and visitors with walking difficulties.

Facilities for blind and visually impaired people

There is a tactile guidance system in the entrance area.
