Born in Königs Wusterhausen, the artist studied landscape architecture in Dresden from 1990 to 1996 (graduating in 1996). Until 2006, she worked as a freelance artist and landscape architect, creating works on canvas and paper as well as objects and installations in public spaces. Since 2006, she has devoted herself exclusively to art and developed light graphics and live painting as performative formats under the label ‘Echtzeitlicht’ (Real Time Light). Her light installations and performances are shown internationally, including at the Amsterdam Light Festival, Copenhagen Light Festival, Ghent Light Festival and Light Move Festival. At the same time, she creates animated and documentary films; from 2014 to 2017, she studied documentary film directing at Filmarche Berlin. In addition to international festival contributions, she realises theatre projects, music performances and workshops with children, young people and adults.
