Elisabeth Dinter, bassoon, was born in Leipzig in 1997. At the age of five she received her first bassoon lessons with Edgar Weicht (MDR Symphony Orchestra). In 2014, she transferred to the young talent development class at the Leipzig University of Music and Theatre "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" and received lessons from Prof. Jörg Michael Thomé, with whom she began her bachelor's studies in 2015. In addition to her studies, she gained orchestral experience in the Saxon Wind Philharmonic Orchestra, the Young German Philharmonic Orchestra and as an intern in the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra Wernigerode. She was a recipient of the Bachbox Scholarship (2018), the Deutschlandstipendium (2018/19), the Jütting Scholarship (2019), and the "Young Art and New Ways" scholarship program of the Free State of Bavaria (2021). After completing her bachelor's degree with distinction, Elisabeth Dinter has been studying in the master's program with Prof. Albrecht Holder at the Würzburg University of Music since October 2020. She has been a member of the Kurt Masur Academy - Orchestra Academy of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra since March 2022.
