Iris Geißler studied correpetition and piano at the Hochschule für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber" in Dresden. At the same time, she began working as a correpetitor with the Philharmonic Choir. After graduating, she held a teaching position for several years in correpetition at the Hochschule für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber".
She is musical assistant to the choir director and has been conducting the Dresden Philharmonic Choir since October 2022.
In addition, she teaches piano, is active as a singer in various ensembles and as a choir director. She has taken over rehearsal work and piano accompaniment in the Dresden University Choir, Leipzig Oratorio Choir, Motet Choir and Saxon Vocal Ensemble Dresden, among others.
