Matthias Reichwald was born in Magdeburg in 1981 and studied piano, composition, choral conducting and conducting for many years as part of a specialised music class. After many projects in youth theatre and as an extra, he studied at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin from 2001 to 2005. He currently lives with his family in Dresden, where he has appeared in numerous productions at the Staatsschauspiel theatre in recent years. He also works regularly in German-speaking countries as an opera and theatre director, as a speaker and as a lecturer in acting.
