Natascha Wodin

Natascha Wodin, born in 1945 as the child of Soviet forced laborers in Fürth, Bavaria, grew up first in German DP camps and then, after the early death of her mother, in a Catholic girls' home.
She has received numerous awards for her novels (including the Joseph Breitbach Prize for her complete works in 2022). In 2017, "She Came from Mariupol" was published, and in 2022 her novel "Nastya's Tears" was published. Natascha Wodin lives in Berlin and Mecklenburg.
