Peter Conrad was born in Dresden in 1972 and received his first trombone lessons in 1985. From 1986 to 1990 he attended the special school for music "Carl Maria von Weber Dresden" and from 1990 to 1998 he studied at the Hochschule für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber" Dresden with Prof. Manfred Zeumer, from 1994 to 1996 he received bass trombone lessons with Prof. Mittelacher. He was principal bass trombonist of the Mecklenburgische Staatskapelle Schwerin from 1998 to 2001, bass trombonist in the orchestra of the Staatsoperette Dresden from 2001 to 2003, and has been principal bass trombonist of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra since 2003.
2006-2015 he held a teaching position for trombone and chamber music at the Saxon State High School of Music "Carl Maria von Weber Dresden".
