Petra Willmann has been a member of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra since 1989, auditioning cellos. She attended the special school in Weimar (J. Naderost, G. Popp), studied at the Academy of Music in Weimar (Fr. Dittmann, B. Böhme) and was a member of the Bergmann String Quartet there (concerts in Cuba, Poland, the Soviet Union and Hungary). She is also active in various chamber ensembles and is a member of the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra.
