Philipp Hennigs

Philipp Hennigs, born and raised in Bremen, had his first musical contact in the Bremen Trombone Society. Much work in North German youth orchestras was to follow until Philipp Hennigs began his artistic trumpet studies in Rostock in the class of Rainer Auerbach and Julie Bonde in 2015.
Since the beginning of his studies, Philipp Hennigs has gained international orchestral experience and has played with the Bremen State Youth Orchestra, the Young North German Philharmonic Orchestra, the Young Philharmonic Orchestra of Lower Saxony, the Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra, the Carl Nielsen Masterclass Orchestra, the North German Philharmonic Orchestra of Rostock, the Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bremerhaven City Theatre and has been playing regularly as a substitute with the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen since 2018.
In 2016 he won a Germany scholarship from the Oskar and Vera Ritter Foundation, in 2017 he took first place in the Lionsclub Music Competition in Lower Saxony and attended various master classes with trumpeters such as Matthias Höfs, Klaus Schuhwerk, Philip Cobb, Chris Dicken, Gabor Tarkövi, André Schoch, Brandon Ridenour, Susan Williams, Adam Rapa and several more.
Philipp Hennigs Schloss graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Rostock in 2019 and was an intern with the Osnabrück Symphony Orchestra from the 2019 season. Since 2022 he is an academist of the Kurt Masur Academy of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra and continues his Master Orchestra Practice studies with Prof. Björn Kadenbach at the Hochschule Carl Maria von Weber.
