Yeo Reum

Violin

Yeo Reum was born in South Korea and received her bachelor's degree from Seoul National University.
She then completed her master's degree at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden under Prof. Annette Unger and is currently studying for her master's degree with the same professor.

She won first prize at the Texas University Music Competition and the Seoul Chamber Orchestra Concours (chamber music section). In addition, she received first prize at the internal ensemble competition of the Dresden University of Music, at the International Queen Sophie Charlotte Competition for Violin (including the Mirow Castle Medal for the best interpretation of a classical work) and at the Szymon Goldberg International Competition.

She has been active as a concertmaster and soloist, performing with the Seoul National University Philharmonic Orchestra, the Dresden University Orchestra, at the Moscow Spivakov Foundation concert, the Busan Chamber Music Festival and the Chungnam Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as at various gala concerts.
She has also performed with the Sinfonietta Dresden, with whom she played Beethoven's Romance, and performed Beethoven's Violin Concerto with the same orchestra.

Since 2025, she has been a scholarship holder at the Kurt Masur Academy of the Dresden Philharmonic.
