Stefan Langbein

Solo trombonist
in the orchestra since 2010

Stefan Langbein, born in 1983, made his first musical experiences at the age of 9 on the trumpet before switching to the trombone in 1996. Over the years, his choice led him via the Musikgymnasium Schloss Belvedere in Weimar with lessons from Thomas Schneider to study at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin (Prof. Olaf Ott).

Stefan Langbein has constantly expanded his orchestral experience through various appointments. He was solo trombonist e.g. in the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock, the Mecklenburgische Staatskapelle Schwerin (vacancy), and most recently the Liepaja Symphony Orchestra in Latvia. Since September 2010 Stefan Langbein is the Coordinated Principal Trombonist of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra.
