Manfred Honeck

Manfred Honeck is a world-renowned conductor known for his pioneering interpretations. He has been Music Director of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra since 2008, with whom he has made a series of successful and award-winning recordings and with whom his contract runs until mid-2028. In 2023, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra named him its Honorary Conductor. The Austrian Grammy Award winner has also been a frequent guest in the opera pit since the early years of his career.

Renaud Capuçon

 
French violinist Renaud Capuçon is considered one of the world's leading violinists and chamber musicians and performs with orchestras and chamber music partners of the highest caliber. In December 2024, he played together with his brother, the cellist Gautier Capuçon, at the reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris. Since 2021, he has been Artistic Director of the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, which he conducts or leads from the violin. He has also made a name for himself as a festival director and teacher.

Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester

The Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester (GMJO) was founded in Vienna in 1986/87 on the initiative of Claudio Abbado and is now considered the world's leading youth orchestra.

Since 1992, it has been open to musicians up to the age of 26 from all over Europe, with around 2,500 applying each year. It tours the world's major music centers and works with well-known conductors and soloists. Numerous former members of the GMJO are now engaged in major European orchestras.
