About the Concert
In our abgeFRACKt series, some things are different: The concert lasts only up to an hour, the musicians do not play in black tails, and no one has to fear clapping at the wrong moment. And certainly, no special knowledge is needed to understand the music "correctly". Just come, listen, and be surprised. Afterwards, we invite you to stay in our foyers, enjoy our abgeFRACKt cocktail at the "Tutti" café (also available alcohol-free), grab another glass of wine or beer, relax, chat, or simply look out over the city from the balcony. Children are welcome, and the Wolfgang app is suitable from a reading age. About the concert: Many dream of doing something completely different from anything done before, even in music. Mozart achieved it! With the symphony we are playing in this concert, he freed himself from the models and introduced some completely new ideas for that time, such as the gentle melody of the strings in the slow movement, playing rhythmically like a pendulum. Also new was what Richard Strauss incorporated into the first bars of his opera "Der Rosenkavalier", a climax that anticipates the erotic entanglements of the plot.
