Maxim Emelyanychev

"He is dynamic, energetic and exciting to watch, exhilarating for musicians and audiences alike," wrote The Guardian about Russian conductor Maxim Emelyanychev, who is making his debut with the Dresden Philharmonic. Now in his mid-thirties, he first appeared on major European stages in 2013. He has been chief conductor of Il pomo d'oro since 2013 and has toured internationally with the ensemble and Joyce DiDonato on several occasions. Since 2019, he has also been chief conductor of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

Lukáš Vondrácek

Since his brilliant victory at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels in 2016, Czech pianist Lukáš Vondráček has been a guest performer with leading orchestras in Europe, Asia, Australia and North America. Recitals have taken him to venues such as the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Flagey in Brussels, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, the Wiener Konzerthaus and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. His playing is characterised by a natural and assured musicality and remarkable technique.
