About the Concert

"Only those who grow up and remain children are human", Erich Kästner once claimed and diligently stuck to it. Virtuously alternating between playful fantasy and philosophical thoughtfulness, he narrates his novel "Pünktchen und Anton". It is about deception, responsibility and the power of unconditional friendship. And about a saving blow with a wooden club. To turn the book into a musical story for the Kästner Year 2024, the narrating main characters meet an entire symphony orchestra. The music awakens the lively Berlin of the 1930s.
