About the Concert

Tickets for these and other events will go on sale on 21 JUNE, as will election tickets for the coming season.

If you have seen the film TÁR with Cate Blanchett, in which the Dresden Philharmonic plays the film orchestra, you will surely remember the soundtrack by the multi-award-winning Icelander Hildur Guðnadóttir. This time we play a title from it live! We will also play the symphony by the Finnish composer Jean Sibelius, with which he became famous and whose sounds still transport us to Nordic expanses with lonely lakes and forests.

In our abFRACKt series, things are different: the concert lasts no more than an hour, the musicians don't play in black tails, and no one has to fear clapping in the wrong place.

And you don't need any special knowledge to understand the music "correctly". Just come, listen and be surprised. And if you want to learn more about the music, you can download the free Wolfgang app onto your smartphone and be guided through the respective work live in concert.

Afterwards, we invite you to stay in our foyers, get a glass of wine or beer in the Café "Tutti" and relax a bit more, talk or simply look out over the city from the balcony...
