About the Concert

It is not unusual for siblings to play chamber music together, but it is rare for them to form an entire quartet and have such success as Louise, Sarah, Gabriel and Marc Tchalik, who have been making music together since early childhood. For this concert, they have also teamed up with an unusual partner, or rather, a partner: the organ in our concert hall. Thierry Escaich, this season palace organist and composer in residence in one person, plays with them among other things an own composition. It will be interesting to see which timbres will come to the fore.

Thierry Escaich
"Après l'aurore" for organ and string quartet

Sigfrid Karg-Elert
Two pieces for organ and string quartet (reconstruction by Emmanuel Pélaprat)

Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy
Two movements for string quartet

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Church sonatas (selection)
Adagio and Fugue in C minor
Fantasia in F minor - "A piece for an organ in a clock"

Camille Saint-Saëns
Six duos for piano and harmonium, arr. for organ and string quartet (excerpts)

Thierry Escaich
Quatuor Tchalik
