About the Concert

Music that needs no explanation at all, that you understand all by itself? At least that's what the French composer Hector Berlioz wanted when he wrote his "Fantastic Symphony". He was suffering from lovesickness, and he composed his experiences directly into the music. Indeed, listening to it, we can imagine someone falling in love, experiencing happiness with the beloved woman, and how love fails. But of course there are still some unanswered questions - how does Berlioz manage to create so many different timbres? What role do the individual instruments play? So Malte and Phili set out and are sure to find answers for you.
