Around the concert

Whether with the digital concert introduction to listen to on the way to the Kulturpalast or after the concert with a glass of wine in the bistro in the foyer - there are many ways to get in the mood for our concerts and still let the evenings end in the atmosphere of the music experienced.

THINGS TO KNOW ON SITE AND ONLINE

Concert introduction & Co. in advance

In the event room of the Central Library on the 1st floor of the Kulturpalast, a half-hour concert introduction takes place 60 minutes before the start of each orchestra concert of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra. You can also listen to the digital concert introduction from the comfort of your own home or on the go.
Program booklets to prepare or read up on can be purchased directly before the concerts from the admission staff. Those who like to get information earlier can also view the respective digital program booklet a few days before the concert.

In concert with the Wolfgang app

Right in the middle with the Wolfgang app

In the concerts of our new series "abgeFRACKt" you can use the Wolfgang app. Information about the work, the instruments or the composer is displayed simultaneously with the music on your smartphone. All this happens silently and discreetly. The app offers interesting and entertaining information for classical music lovers as well as for occasional concertgoers.
Before and after the concert, as well as during the intermissions, you have the opportunity to enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and a snack in the foyer or on the balcony - the Café and Bistro Tutti leaves nothing to be desired. During occasional specials such as intermission talks, you have the opportunity to experience artists inside up close.

End the evening in a relaxed atmosphere

And after that? Lounge and more

Whether it's for an autograph session or because you simply want to have a drink - after selected concerts you have the opportunity to round off the experience in the hall comfortably in our foyers and spend the evening in a relaxed mood with a drink or interesting discussions with the artists.
BIBOPHIL - in the central library of the Kulturpalast you will find literature, CDs and scores to match our concert programs (2nd floor, music area).
You can also find recordings of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra in our webshop.
