Born in 2009 into a family of musicians, jazz singer Fanny Dollfuß grew up surrounded by classical music. After early attempts at the piano, five years in the children’s choir of the Semperoper Dresden and six years playing the tenor horn and euphonium, Fanny found her way to jazz via pop music. She is a vocal student of Christa Abels and has also been taking lessons in harmony and jazz piano with Wolfgang Skill for some time, recently started guitar lessons with Marc Dennewitz, and has been taking ensemble and improvisation lessons with Jens Wagner for the past two years.
In 2025, Fanny won a national prize at Jugend musiziert. Since the winter term of 2025, the pupil at the Christliche Schule Dresden has been the singer with the TU Big Band Dresden.
