Ines Kaun

Growing up in Berlin, Ines Kaun studied choral conducting with Prof. Jürgen Puschbeck and orchestral conducting with Prof. Gunter Kahlert at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar from 2008 to 2014. During this time she was, among other things, artistic director of the student choir of the University of Jena. In 2012 she studied choral conducting for one year with Prof. Fredrik Malmberg at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. 2013-2018 Ines Kaun was a scholarship holder of the Conductors' Forum of the German Music Council and attended master classes with Georg Grün, Jörn Hinnerk Andresen, Stefan Parkman, Gijs Leenaars, Jörg-Peter Weigle and was a finalist of the German Choral Conductors' Prize with the RIAS Kammerchor. From 2014/15 to 2015/16 she was deputy choral director and director of the children's choir at the Staatstheater Darmstadt. Two years later, she moved to the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg as choral director, where she was in charge of the house and extra choir and the children's and youth choir and conducted performances of "The Magic Flute" and her own production "Coro Fantastico", among others.
Since 2018, Ines Kaun has been the second artistic director of the Symphonic Choir Bamberg and in 2019 she made her rehearsal debut with the SWR Vokalensemble.
In the same year she went to the Salzburg Landestheater as choral director with conducting duties, here she conducted performances of "My fair Lady", "Flower of Hawaii", "Cinderella" (Alma Deutscher) and "Sound of Music".
In September 2021 she wins the 1st prize at the DIMA international competition for choral conducting.
Since January 2022, Ines Kaun has been a choral director with conducting duties at the Staatstheater Darmstadt and also began her collaboration with the Berliner Rundfunkchor in March 2022.
