Johannes Groth studied at the Hochschule für Musik "Franz Liszt" in Weimar from 1986 to 1993. He played 2nd violin with the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra from 1993 to 1994. Since 1995 Johannes Groth has been employed by the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra.
