In the academy 2017-2019

Joshua Chávez Márquez was born in 1990 in Guadalajara Jalisco (Mexico), where he also received his first musical training. From 2010 onwards, he took lessons with Ronowicz Borash and Ryszard Janusz and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the university there in 2014. He took part in masterclasses with David Brown (Canada), Matthias Hendel (Germany), Jose Vilaplana (Spain), Andrés Martin (Mexico/Argentina), Catalin Rotaru (Romania) and Benedikt Hübner (Germany). In 2016, he began his master's degree at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden with Prof. Benedikt Hübner, and in 2017 he became a substitute with the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra.

He has gained numerous experiences as a guest musician in large orchestras, including the Guadalajara Symphony Orchestra, the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra and the Guanajuato Symphony Orchestra (OSUG), with which he also completed a tour of Italy in 2014. He has also given concerts in Jalisco, Guanajuato, Veracruz and other cities in Mexico.

He has performed several times as a soloist with the Jalisco Orchestra and the Higinio Rubalcaba Orchestra, winning the scholarship awarded by the Northern Lights Festival in 2013 and the scholarship awarded by the Viva la musica Foundation in 2014.
