Nora Koch studied harp and piano at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Academy of Music in Leipzig with Margarethe Kluvetasch and Max Koch. Master classes with Alice Giles and Susann McDonald and four years as a substitute at the Gewandhaus Orchestra rounded off her training.
At the age of 21, she became solo harpist with the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra. From 1993-96 she was also regularly engaged as a guest for concerts, CD productions and tours of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
Nora Koch has taught at the Leipzig University of Music since 1999 and continued her teaching activities at the Dresden University of Music and Music High School from 2011.
In addition to radio and television appearances, several CD productions have been released by Berlin Classics and Dabringhaus&Grimm.
