Eun Sun Kim

South Korean conductor Eun Sun Kim has been Music Director of San Francisco Opera since 2021. She made such a convincing debut there that she was offered this important position in American musical life very soon afterwards. In recent years, she has also enjoyed great success at opera houses and with renowned orchestras in the rest of the USA and in Europe. Audiences and critics alike are enthusiastic about her vibrant nature, expressiveness and clarity.

Undine Röhner-Stolle

Undine Röhner-Stolle was born in Berlin and began playing the oboe at the age of 13. She studied at the Leipzig Academy of Music with Burkhard Glaetzner. As a Mendelssohn scholarship holder, she won first prizes at the International Competitions in Geneva (1988) and Manchester (1989) and was subsequently a prizewinner of the German Music Council.

Fabian Dirr

Fabian Dirr was born in Erlangen and began his musical education at the age of six. He was already a prize-winner in several competitions before he began his studies at the Hanover University of Music and Drama with Hans Deinzer, which he completed as a master student.

Felix Amrhein

Born in 1994 in Aschaffenburg, Felix Amrhein began bassoon lessons at the age of 7, immediately inspired by the sound of the instrument. After studying for a year with Prof. Albrecht Holder at the HfM Würzburg, he began his bachelor's degree there in 2012, supported by scholarships from the Bischöfliche Studienförderung - Cusanuswerk and the Yehudi Menuhin - live music now organization.

Michael Schneider

Michael Schneider was born in Annaberg-Buchholz and was a student at the Special School of Music in Weimar. He studied horn at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Weimer and was deputy principal horn of the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra from 1992-1996. Since 1997 he has been engaged as Coordinated Principal Horn with the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra. As a soloist he has played with the Vogtland Philharmonic Orchestra Greiz/Reichenbach, the Landeskapelle Eisenach, the Thuringia Philharmonic Orchestra Gotha, the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra and the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra. He has produced several CDs with the Mozart Sextet Weimar and the Dresden Wind Quintet.

Malte Arkona

The presenter, actor and voice actor Malte Arkona is known to many viewers from television, but is also one of the most sought-after music educators in the German-speaking world. He has been a regular stage partner of the Dresden Philharmonic in this capacity for many years and has been presenting its new "Best of Classics" series, which he co-designed, since the 2024/25 season. He also directs video clips for the orchestra, in which he can also be seen himself.

Victoria Esper

Her main goal is to present musical education in a lively way and to inspire children in particular for the world of classical music: Victoria Esper often works as a speaker and presenter and helped develop the fantasy character Phili for the concert series “phil zu entdecken” for the Dresden Philharmonic. She has a degree in singing and has also worked as a cultural manager in recent years. In her free time, she is committed to social interaction and media literacy for children.

Michael Kube

Michael Kube is a passionate music educator and has been conceiving the school and family concert series "phil zu entdecken" for the Dresden Philharmonic since the 2015/16 season. He also works as an editor and consultant, is a juror for the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik, and a university lecturer in music history, musicology and music education.
