Why not approach it with cheerfulness? For the first time in its 49-year history, the Dresden Music Festival will be opened by the Dresden Philharmonic, and for the first time, the well-known Dresden comedian Olaf Schubert will also be present, surely shedding some humorous light on the concert scene. However, the music itself is no joke, but rather shines in the cello concerto by Henri Dutilleux, displaying a variety of different tonal colors. It will be performed by Jan Vogler, who as the director of the Music Festival, is making a bold statement at the beginning of the festival. The "Pictures at an Exhibition" also offer a colorful experience, this famous work by the Russian composer Modest Mussorgsky, in which he paints pictures with the brush of sound. An auditory delight, led by our first guest conductor Tabita Berglund from the conductor's stand.Carl Maria von Weber
